Seth Runser is President and Chief Executive Officer of ArcBest® and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. With nearly 20 years of experience, Seth brings deep operational expertise and a customer-first approach to advance ArcBest’s integrated logistics strategy. His leadership focuses on enhancing service performance and delivering sustainable value to customers and shareholders.
As president and CEO of ArcBest, Seth drives organizational alignment around growth and efficiency, removes barriers to faster decision making, and promotes innovation that reduces costs, improves service and makes it easier for customers to do business — all with a focus on building better supply chains. He champions transformative initiatives like City Route Optimization, the Vaux™ technology suite, ArcBest View™ and AI-powered tools that deliver a more consistent, resilient customer experience.
Seth joined the company in 2007 as an ABF Freight® management trainee, progressing through key operations and leadership roles. He was named President of ABF in 2021 and President of ArcBest in August 2024, where he led with a pragmatic, people-centered approach, and guided teams through disruption while modernizing operations and strengthening customer relationships. Effective January 1, 2026, Seth became CEO of ArcBest and was appointed to the ArcBest Board of Directors.
Seth serves on the American Trucking Associations’ Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Foundation Board, and the Fort Smith Regional Council. He previously served on the Arkansas Trucking Association Board, the BNSF Railway Customer Advisory Board and as an American Trucking Associations Highway Safety Policy Committee Member. Seth holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Kent State University.
