Dennis L. Anderson II is the Chief Innovation Officer at ArcBest®, where he leads the company’s innovation and technology strategy to help customers build more intelligent, efficient and resilient supply chains. With over 20 years of logistics experience, Dennis focuses on addressing customer challenges with practical, scalable solutions that improve visibility, simplify shipment management and drive measurable efficiencies.
His approach to innovation starts with listening and a “we’ll find a way” mindset. Dennis emphasizes continuous improvement and a customer-centric philosophy, guiding teams to advance ArcBest’s processes, services and technologies as customer needs and market dynamics change. A key focus of his work is the ethical and responsible use of AI and machine learning, applying technology in transparent, practical ways that support real customer and employee outcomes.
Under Dennis’s leadership, ArcBest has continued to modernize its digital tools and data-driven capabilities, enhancing transparency, strengthening decision-making and improving the overall customer experience. His work centers on empowering people with technology to support stronger execution and consistent business outcomes across the organization.
Dennis assumed the role of Chief Innovation Officer in January 2025, after serving as Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Customer Officer, and Chief Customer Experience Officer. Earlier in his career, he held strategy and pricing leadership positions at ArcBest and ABF Freight®, respectively. Dennis began his logistics career at Walmart Logistics, a division of Walmart Stores, Inc.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas.
